COPPER FOIL, SHEET, WIRE, BAR

Thickness: 

0.05mm-1mm for Copper foil, strip, blanks and sheet. Other thicknesses available on request. We do stock Copper sheet, bar and wire also in varying thicknesses. 

Width: 

Standard width 305mm, larger widths are available on request, we can slit down to 3mm or less dependent on application. 

Temper: 

Soft (annealed), quarter hard, half hard and hard, full hard. We do have the ability to do other special tempers on request.

Various grades available: Most common Copper C101 for electrical purposes, C106 also is common for other uses (pressing etc). We also stock C103 Oxygen free in some thicknesses.

Copper Foil Uses: 

Transformers, screens, shims, gaskets, busbar, architectural, marine, connectors, battery connectors, craft, art installations, radiator fins, automotive, heat sink, antimicrobial surfaces and touch plates. 

Copper Metal Foil Properties: ​

Copper is a malleable material when refined and can be manipulated into different forms.

It has very good electrical and thermal properties which makes it the preferred metal for electrical applications. Silver is the only metal that is more electrically conductive than copper but it isn’t as good transferring heat.
 
Most metals corrode as they oxidise. Copper instead develops a protective layer on it’s surface which is called patina. This layer of patina can preserve the copper but can be taken off fairly easily with a mild acid solution. However, to prevent the copper from getting patina after polishing you can use a lacquer. 

Copper is naturally anti-bacterial, it kills most bacteria that come into contact. This is because the ions of copper break down certain proteins making it a great material for surfaces that need to be clean.

Copper is one of the most widely recycled materials. It can be melted down and can be used to make a variety of copper alloys.
