The Foil Specialist Company was set up in the year 2000 with the aim to create a fast and responsive business to meet the specialist foil requirements of customers in a diverse range of industries.
Whether that is free issue shearing, stock holding, producing components, insulating or laminating, Foil Specialists have expert machine operators who have accumulated decades of experience and can process materials many others find difficult.

Foil Rotary Shearing/Slitting
Rotary shearing is the process of reducing the width of metal strip through passing it through a pair of overlapped rotary blades slitting the strip to your desired width.
Precision Cut Metal Foil Parts & Components (Laser Cutting)
We have developed techniques for cutting bespoke shapes from metal foil and sheet. We will make to your specification and can provide prototype work for your project.
Prototype & Development
We have the ability to provide technical advice and material testing through our own expertise and with the support of a independent laboratory.
Stock Holding
We are a supplier and stock holder of many different types and gauges of metal foil, coil, sheet bar, wire.
Laminating/Insulating/Wrapping
Lamination of metal foil with different styles of adhesive including conductive adhesive.
Insulated Flat Copper Cable
We produce insulated flat copper cable for use within transformers made to your specification.
Rolling
Our Rolling mill can handle material up to 5" wide and can roll down to as thin as 0.1mm.
Cut Sheets/Blanks
We have a 1m Bed Guillotine which can cut up to 3mm depending on the metal. We can cut sheets/blanks to your size or specification.
We keep a wide range of metal at numerous thicknesses including:
0.038 mm ( 38 Micron ), 0.05 mm ( 50 Micron ) 0.1 mm, 0.125 mm , 0.127 mm , 0.14 mm , 0.15 mm , 0.2 mm , 0.25 mm , 0.3 mm , 0.35 mm , 0.4 mm , 0.5 mm , 0.6 mm , 0.65 mm , 0.7 mm , 0.8 mm , 0.9 mm , 1 mm.
