Cut Sheets & Blanks
We have a 1m Bed Guillotine which can cut up to 3mm depending on the metal. We can cut sheets/blanks to your size or specification.
A cut blank is a flat piece of metal that has been cut to a specific shape and size, often as a preliminary step in manufacturing or fabrication. Blanks serve as the starting material for further processing, where they may be stamped, formed, machined, or otherwise modified to create finished components or products.
Materials Available
We stock and process cut sheets & blanks in a variety of materials, including:
Copper – excellent electrical and thermal conductivity
Tinned Copper – provides superior corrosion resistance and solderability
Brass – durable, easy to machine, ideal for decorative and mechanical use
Phosphor Bronze – strong, wear- and corrosion-resistant
Nickel & Nickel Alloys – outstanding performance under heat and stress
Cupro Nickel – highly resistant to seawater corrosion
Aluminium – lightweight and versatile for various applications
Steel & Stainless Steel – tough, corrosion-resistant and long-lasting
Pewter – soft, decorative, and perfect for design or craft applications
Key Uses of Cut Metal Sheets & Blanks
Construction and Architecture:
Structural Components: Used in building frameworks, bridges, and industrial facilities.
Decorative Panels: Laser-cut sheets are used for facades, ceilings, and custom-designed decorative elements.
Roofing and Cladding: Metal sheets are ideal for weather-resistant roofs and walls.
Automotive Industry:
Body Panels: Sheets are shaped and welded to form vehicle body parts.
Heat Shields: Thin sheets of metal, are used to protect components from heat.
Chassis Components: Blanks are stamped or formed into structural car parts.
Aerospace and Defence:
Aircraft Components: Lightweight, high-strength sheets like aluminium and titanium are used in fuselages, wings, and panels.
Armour Plating: Used for military vehicles, ships, and protective gear.
Manufacturing:
Machine Parts: Cut metal blanks are machined into gears, brackets, and other mechanical parts.
Appliances: Sheets are fabricated into casings, panels, and internal components for refrigerators, ovens, and washing machines.
Electronics:
Enclosures: Cut sheets are used to create cases for electronic devices, such as computers and smartphones.
Heat Sinks: Metals are shaped into components that dissipate heat in electronic devices.
Circuit Boards: Metal blanks are processed to create conductive layers in printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Energy Sector:
Solar Panels: Metal sheets form structural and reflective components of solar energy systems.
Wind Turbines: Blanks are cut and shaped into parts for turbine blades and housings.
Signage and Advertising:
Custom Signs: Metal sheets are laser-cut and engraved to create durable and visually striking signs.
Displays: Used in trade show displays, nameplates, and branding elements.
Furniture and Home Décor:
Furniture Frames: Metal sheets are used to craft tables, chairs, and storage units.
Decorative Items: Laser-cut sheets are popular for custom wall art, lighting fixtures, and mirrors.
Industrial Applications:
Machinery Components: Sheets and blanks are used to create parts for industrial machines.
